We are opening a new gallery, showroom, micro-workspace, music salon in Berlin Mitte, Grosse Hamburger Strasse 36. Please visit the website or on facebook. One of my newest paintings is on exhibition there.

GH 36 is a new multipurpose room in Berlin’s Mitte. It is a contemporary shared artspace, a producers gallery, a showroom, a place for teaching, learning and interconnection. A space to make things happen in time. A laboratory, A place where different artists can come together,to share, discuss, record, show visual art of all kinds including painting, photography, performance, dance, installation and video.

STUDIO TAKEN

Today the studio at Tacheles was taken with unclear eviction notice. This means Kuris studio and workplace of 5 years has been emptied , taken over by private security officers on the mandate of HSH Nordbank. Going to court next week. Will update ASAP.

Kunsthaus TACHELES vs. The System BERLIN 2012

This is a short update to inform on the complex situation at Kuri’s studio in Tacheles. In the past weeks a private security firm and seedy lawyers have been employed by HSH Nordbank to illegally evict the artists of Tacheles. This is causing ongoing problems and disruptions to the normal working practice of the artists who wish to stay in Tacheles.

The Berlin Mayor has remained silent on the issue, meanwhile international press and 1000’s of visitors continue to visit and document the ongoing struggle to preserve one of the last free sites in Berlin Mitte.
